I find that as All Three continues to grow and expand, there are
decisions I make from the mind --- logic, rationality --- and then those
that come from somewhere else entirely: intution, a gut feeling, an
inner knowing. I'm curious what the card have to say
about the second kind.
How do I continue to hone it and how do I use it well,
inside the business and out ?
We received three cards:
the Queen of Disks
Abundance (3 of Cups)
The Tower
Luxury (4 of Cups)
There is a tension immediately visible : the Queen of Disks and The
Tower flank Abundance on either side. like two very different kinds of
knowing holding a prize between them. The 3 of Cups --- celebration,
success, an inflowing of spiritual, psychological, social, and material
Queen of Disks
She is a powerful card. The
Water of the Earth --- water
that has both a container and
a flow, moving gradually and
inevitably toward abundance.
She is grounded, discerning, of
the Capricorn sign, a creature
of the earth. She does not
strive nor chase but allows
and receives the flow of life as
it pours into her. A true Queen
on her throne, with the self-
assurance that the right things will come at the right time,
because they belong to her,
because she has prepared the ground.
This is not passivity. She is
diligent, reliable, and trustworthy.
The suit of Disks is about
bringing spirit into form --- the
Kabbalistic Keter, crown, pure
potential, descending into
Malkut, the earthly realm. Her
scepter, topped with a diamond,
makes this visible. The message
from her: continue managing
your kingdom, whatever form it
takes, whether it be a business,
the household, or inner life,
but do so from a noble and
settled posture. There is no
reason to grasp, the river is
ever flowing. In the context
of intuition, she manages her
affairs appropriately according
to the routines of the day, but is
ever prepared for the signal that
now is the time to move when it comes.
Abundance
Between these two sits
Abundance. What a satisfying
card to land on in the center
of a reading. It says plainly:
intuition, held in the Queen’s
grounded receptivity and
sparked by the Tower’s
lightning, leads to a continued
pouring-in of life’s gifts. The jolts
will be jarring. The Queen asks
you to breathe through them,
to stabilize and keep your feet,
so the flow doesn’t get knocked
loose. And that flow, the reading
tells us, moves directly to
support our growth, and into
what comes next.
The Tower
The Tower is that signal.
We are usually offered two
roads: the safe, familiar path,
or the one that opens suddenly
which can be uncertain,
electrifying, and somehow
undeniable. Most choose
safety, even when their gut is
screaming otherwise. The Tower
belongs to those willing to listen
anyways, even when it costs
something in the short term,
even when it surprises everyone,
themselves included.
This is not a card for the faint of
heart, and neither is the path of intuitive living.
It is associated often (but not
always) with lightning-strike
of sudden knowing. A flash
of clarity you feel before you
understand it. This can appear
in the sacrum, the chest, or
the gut. (Each person has to
learn where their intuition lives
in the body. That discovery
alone is worth the work.) The
Tower brings abrupt change.
You thought you were headed
somewhere, and now, due to
some internal or external jolt,
you’re going somewhere entirely
new.
People fear this card,
understandable so. We become
comfortable, and comfort
has its own gravity. When
the unexpected ushers in it
can upend the world as we
know it. However, the Tower is
not asking us to court chaos
but rather to stay awake. To
tolerate disorientation without
immediately fleeing back to
certainty. To sit with “why did
I just do that” --- the short-
term hangover of an intuitive
decision that defies all reason
--- long enough to find out..
Luxury - 4 of Cups
The base card is Luxury, the 4 of Cups --- and it is not lost on anyone
that we are discussing intuition in the context of a luxury brand.
A synchronicity worth noting.
The 4 follows the 3: abundance ripens into luxury. Something that was
incoming becomes settled, established, a thing you now can live inside.
But the 4 of Cups carries a warning. The next card in the deck is the 5
of Cups --- Disappointment. When we discover a new way to navigate
life, whether through intuition, tarot, a successful creative formula,
whatever it is, we can become attached to it. It stops becoming a living
breathing practice and instead coalesces into a “guaranteed” method.
But nothing is guaranteed. And that which opened the door becomes
what we end up hiding behind.
You might recognize this in creative work: a collection lands, and the
instinct is to make slight variations on it forever. Or in decision-making:
intuition works once, spectacularly, and now every choice gets run
through the same channel, whether or not it is actually speaking.
The Queen of Disks holds the antidote. She stays levelheaded. She
does not give herself up to flights of fancy. As written above, the
receives without insisting. She does not fabricate intuitive signals
--- a form of spiritual bypassing. Her kingdom is preserved precisely
because she can feel success without being swept away by it. Earth
and water, she tends to practical matters and is ever open to sudden
shiftings of the tide, symbolized by the Tower.
The Cards Together:
Intuition is not a faculty you develop once and then possess.
It is a relationship --- ongoing, demanding, capable of being lost
through neglect or distorted through ego.
The Queen tells you how to hold it: with steadiness, patience, and trust
that what belongs to you will arrive.
The Tower tells you what it feels like when it speaks: sudden
sometimes destabilizing or inconvenient.
Abundance says that this combination --- grounded receptivity
meeting fearless responsiveness --- works, maybe too well.
Luxury says it works so well, you'll be tempted to freeze it. The solution:
remain grounded in your work and ever fluid in your awareness.
To connect with your intuition, start here:
When did you know something was wrong for you, yet you persisted
in it anyway, only to find that inner knowing had been right all along?
Where did you feel that in the body? A clenching in the throat, a
contraction in the chest, something tightening in the gut?
And the inverse: when were you invited somewhere, or toward
something, and simply knew you had to go. And were right? Where did
you feel that? A sacral opening, an abdominal ping, a hum of clarity?
For this coming month, begin noticing how your intuition speaks to you,
even in small things --- which street to take, which invitation to accept,
which to decline. Track the outcomes. Notice where in the body the
signal lives and begin to deepen your relationship to it.
